If you could have asked a Manchester United fan what the worst possible thing that could happen during their Europa League trip to play FC Midtjylland, they probably would have said: 'An injury to David De Gea'.
With that in mind it must have seemed like some sort of sick joke when news filtered through that the Spanish goalkeeper would not feature in Thursday night's Europa league clash, and Sergio Romero would deputise with no other goalkeeper on the bench, but sure enough, that's exactly what happened.
In the warm-up De Gea was said to have tweaked a muscle, and sure enough footage of the moment he got injured has since surfaced:
It's difficult to say from looking at it how severe it may or may not be, but De Gea was knew immediately that something was wrong, and looked to be quite upset.
We'll update you on the severity of the injury when we get word.
