We can't be condoning this kind of carry on. It's impossible to know what he had in mind as he made a bee line for Cristiano Ronaldo. With all the security issues surrounding Euro 2016, he could easily have been a nutjob with a knife. So, we've got that out of the way, it's dangerous and it shouldn't have been allowed to happen.
But, since it did, and since it turned out that he wasn't up to anything particularly sinister, then the least we can do is commend the cracking camera angle that we were given a chance to see on ITV.
We fully understand the decision which many broadcasters take to not give pitch invaders the satisfaction of their 15 seconds of fame, but when the camera angle is this good, you can't miss the opportunity.
Plus, it wasn't as if there was anything else happening during that 30 minutes of extra time.
At least it gave us the opportunity to see Cristiano Ronaldo side-stepping ability.
