Two goals for Sean Maguire, two goals for Callum Robinson, bright performances from Daryl Horgan, Graham Burke and a run-out for Alan Browne and Andy Boyle. It was an outstanding day for the Irish yesterday at Mill Farm as Preston North End beat AFC Fylde 6-1 in a pre-season friendly.
Preston boss Alex Neil continues to prepare his side for a play-off challenge next season and it looks like there will be several Irish players at the heart of it. A brace from Callum Robinson put them well on there way, while Sean Maguire scored twice in ten minutes having been introduced on the hour mark.

Maguire's double means he has scored five goals already this preseason.
Speaking to the Preston North End website, Alex Neil praised striker Callum Robinson, who recently declared for the Republic of Ireland: "Callum has scored two absolute screamers but he missed two easier opportunities but the good thing is he is getting in those positions. If you take any game where you score two goals and could have scored two more then you would put that down as a good afternoon."
Elsewhere, former League of Ireland duo Graham Burke and Daryl Horgan both impressed. Preston's season begins in just over three weeks with a home tie against QPR.
