Some strange things happen when Hollywood actors come to press junkets on this side of the world, as they are often tasked with discussing or talking about things they never knew existed.
That happened in outstanding fashion this week with much-loved actor Steve Carell and the hilarious Kristen Wiig in Scotland to promote Despicable Me 3.
Scottish TV network STV2 decided to use their opportunity to talk with Carell and Wiig to bring up Scott Brown after the Celtic captain had himself claimed to look like 'Gru', one of the main characters of the first two films, in the past.
What followed was two of Hollywood's biggest stars telling Scott Brown that he is far more handsome that he is giving himself credit for, before Carell deliered a motivational speech and a 'good luck' for Scotland getting to the World Cup.

Hi Scott, I hope you make it to the World Cup.
I think you're being a little hard on yourself with this comparison to Gru, I think you're a very good looking individual. Gru is a little strange looking, but, you possess qualities of Gru.
You possess an inner warmth, a kindness, a generosity, and I think maybe that is what you're seeing in Gru, and that's something that you share.
So good luck, and I hope it works out.
Steve Carell, what a pro.
Tasked with delivering a message to someone he has never heard of before, he made it look effortless, even if it was largely wrong.
Scott Brown has been called a lot of things during his time at Celtic, but we can't imagine any of the midfielders he played against in Scotland agreeing that he possesses an 'inner warmth'.
Plus he does look a bit like Gru.
