St Etienne were hammered 5-0 yesterday by Lyon during 'Le Derby.' As if the result wasn't enough, their fans were then treated to jeers from French striker and Lyon captain Nabil Fekir after he scored his side's fifth goal. The St Etienne faithful responded by rioting and invading the field.
Both clubs occupy the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes area and are known to maintain a heated rivalry. Tensions boiled over after Fekir's celebration:

Fekir had been the victim of a dangerous challenge earlier in the half that resulted in a red card for St Etienne's Leo Lacroix.
The invasion forced the players to flee done the tunnel and as a result the game was stopped for 30 minutes, until police could clear the ground. The match had already been stopped twice due to smoke from flares obstructing the field. Last year St Etienne fans were punished for crowd trouble during the same fixture.
Fekir for his part received a yellow card for his actions. The game was eventually resumed and Lyon ran out 5-0 winners in front of what was then an empty Stade Geoffroy-Guichard stadium.
The result leaves Lyon in 3rd of Ligue 1, while St Etienne lie in sixth.
