Gordan Strachan's men face an uphill battle to reach Russia after claiming a last minute equaliser at home to Lithuania on Saturday, but things appeared to go from bad to worse as the Scots went a goal down in Trnava.
While trying to pressure the backline, Scotland striker Steven Fletcher was body-checked in what looked to be a blatant foul, but seconds later the ball was being picked out of the net at the other end.
They can't catch a break.
While it was a shoulder, the defender went for Fletcher in order to prevent him from reaching the ball, but the Scottish players' complaints fell on deaf ears. Robert Mak was the goalscorer for Slovakia.
