Legia Warsaw fans became entangled in a battle with police who stepped in to prevent a fight between them and the travelling Borussia Dortmund supporters in Poland on Wednesday night.
The game was over within 20 minutes as Dortmund showed their class by racing out to a 3-0 lead, and shortly after the Legia ultras had had enough.
It's such a shame considering social media were widely praising the Legia fans for a truly outstanding tifo just before kick-off:
This tifo ALMOST makes up for Legia knocking Dundalk out of the Champions League. pic.twitter.com/Urip23vcZr

But things quickly got out of hand as chairs were thrown and pepper spray was used:
It's completely brainless, watching the stewards keel over holding their eyes makes for difficult viewing.
The club will likely be punished for this, and it seems ridiculous to see that sort of carry on just 30 minutes into a match.
