Bastian Schweinsteiger is a barrel of laughs.
Last month we brought you quotes from an interview with Bild.de that we described as "The most German quote ever made" when he analysed the training ground humour he saw from his new Man United teammates, but now it's quite clear that he's getting into the swing of things himself.
In the pre-match press conference ahead of Manchester United's Champions League group stage clash with Wolfsburg, Bastian Schweinsteiger was asked a very weird question about Wayne Rooney and poetry. He dealt with such a strange question very well, and impressed us by using what millions of English footballers have done before him, and that is make fun of the Scouse accent.
I never speak about what's happening in the dressing room, but maybe sometimes I don't understand him when he speaks in his Scouser accent.
Oh, Bastian! That's funny because he's form Liverpool, you're learning!
It's clear that Schweinsteiger and Rooney have a good understanding on the pitch, which is all that matters to Louis Van Gaal, who, by the way, really enjoyed Bastian's retort to that bizarre question.
