Liverpool have restored their six point lead at the top of the Premier League, but the three points did not come easy against Spurs. They found themselves behind after only 47 seconds when Harry Kane reacted quickest to a rebounded Son shot.
However, the home side dominated from this point on. It took some Paulo Gazzaniga heroics to keep them ahead going into halftime and it only felt like a matter of time before they got themselves back on level terms.
Jordan Henderson would score the equaliser before Mo Salah's penalty secured the win for Liverpool. Sadio Mané would be named man-of-the-match, winning the penalty and putting in a fantastic display.
He was interviewed by Sky Sports after the game where he gave a rare insight into the mentality inside the Anfield dressing room.
Liverpool, along with pretty much every other team in modern football, publicly preach a 'one game at a time' mantra. In truth, every win feels like a big result for Liverpool at this early stage of the season with the Premier League title very much on their minds.
After the game, Mané admitted that every win is huge in the title hunt. He soon realised he had veered away from the public line, and had to look at captain Jordan Henderson for approval.
(Incident at 2.40.)
"Well I'm thinking it was my fault because I gave the ball away!"
Jordan Henderson admits he was at fault for the opener but was delighted to make amends later.

Of course. I think every win is a big moment and is a big win for us, for what we need and what we are working for.
We know it's too early to speak about the title, but for sure we want to win it. Isn't it? That's it...
Henderson quickly moved the topic of conversation in a different direction, but this was a rare glimpse into what is being discussed inside the dressing room.
There's a long way to go, but the title is certainly on their mind.
