The Republic of Ireland squad held an open training session in an Aviva Stadium basked in early summer sunshine today, and thousands of fans turned out to catch a glimpse of the squad before they set off to France. As part of an exhibition, a number of players and staff attempted a crossbar challenge. A number missed, including Steve Guppy and Robbie Keane. Then, their assistant manager strode forward to show them how it's done. This all happened after the journalists were sent away, so we missed it. Thankfully, here it is in super slo-mo, thanks to the intrepid sleuths at DID Electrical:
We didn't have Keane down as a Soccer AM fan, but he has been in the habit of surprising us before major tournaments in the past.
Roy Keane is handing out crossbar challenge lessons to Steve Guppy and Robbie Keane!
