Dundalk travelled to Tallaght this evening to take on a Shamrock Rovers side unbeaten since the beginning of May. Hoping to keep their push for the title on track, they will be disgusted that Roberto Lopes remained on the pitch after this tackle after only 15 minutes.
Still some way apart in the league, Stephen Bradley will know that a win for Shamrock Rovers could see them St. Patrick's Athletic and/or Derry City.
Going 1-0 ahead through a Daniel Carr goal after only four minutes, things were looking very good early on.
However, Dundalk and Stephen Kenny will be adamant that the hosts should have been down to 10-men tonight after a dangerous Roberto Lopes tackle only resulted in a yellow-card.
What Brian Kerr on co-commentary described as a clear sending-off offence, one would feel there is a certain justification to this claim.
You can see the tackle below, and decide yourself.

Dundalk equalised through Patrick Hoban and it is 1-1 just as the second-half kicks off.
