You may not have considered him much of a dead ball specialist, but a Robert Lewandowski free kick is seemingly going to result in a goal, if his last two efforts are anything to go by.
Consistency is key for a dead-ball specialist, and Bayern's Polish striker has tonight scored another inch-perfect free-kick, virtually identical to the one he scored against Mainz on Friday in a 3-1 win.
He gave Bayern the lead against Atletico Madrid in style, but when compared alongside the goal against Mainz, it's clear that he's got a certain spot he favours and can produce the goods on demand.
Just look at how similar these goals are, from the location, to the technique, to where the ball crosses the line. First up, his goal in the Champions League:
And this is the goal he scored against Mainz...
That is magnificent.
Bayern's opponents are now going to have to be extremely gentle anywhere near that area, or he'll just put the ball in the goal. It really does seem that easy for him.
