There weren't many positives for Burnley last night as they were thrashed 4-1 against Man City at Turf Moor, but Irish fans can take some solace in the fact that Robbie Brady added his name to the goalsheet long after the match was settled. It was a brilliantly taken shot set up by a possibly accidental assist from Jeff Hendrick. Brady started the match on the bench and replaced Dwight McNeil in the 75th minute. You can watch the goal from 1.24 here.
It was Brady's first goal for Burnley since November 2017. Brady spoke to Burnley's website about his frustrations with injury and his hopes that he can play a major role in keeping Burnley out of relegation.

He said:
"It’s been difficult, so it’s a little bit of relief to get off the mark and hopefully I can add a few more before the end of the season.”
“I’m working hard and giving it my all every day in training and like the rest of the lads we’re working hard to get a shirt come the weekend.
“We’ll stick at it and I’ll stick at it myself and, please God, there’ll be some more performances and hopefully a couple more goals.”
Hopefully it's the beginning of a run of goals from Brady and we'll see him playing a major role for Ireland come March.
