The Carabao Cup offered Jon Walters a first competitive start for Burnley on Wednesday night, but it was another of Martin O'Neill's Ireland squad who got himself on the scoresheet.
Robbie Brady was unlucky not to get himself up and running for the season when he cracked the post from a free-kick at Stamford Bridge in their first Premier League game, but he managed to get the ball over the line against Blackburn and he did so in style.
The Dubliner latched onto the ball just inside the box, held off two Blackburn defenders, and thumped the ball into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
Nicely done, Robbie.
The Carabao Cup was kind to Premier League teams on Tuesday night, and Burnley look very comfortable after that 2nd goal so should secure their safe passage to the next round.
