Rangers have opened their Europa League campaign with a victory this evening, defeating Standard Liege 2-0 in Belgium.
Heading into a difficult looking group alongside the likes of Benfica and Lech Poznan, Steven Gerrard's side needed a positive result from their first group game this evening.
They led for the most of the contest thanks to a first half penalty from James Tavernier, but were clinging on come the end of the game despite being the dominant side.
With Standard Liege piling on the pressure in stoppage time, Kemar Roofe would go on a mazing run to beat a number of opposition defenders. He would go on to spot that the goalkeeper was off his line, producing a remarkable lob from inside his half to secure the three points.

An incredible strike.
While this season is still in its infancy, we have our doubts that you will see a better goal over the remainder of the campaign.
Rangers have started this season brightly, currently sitting four points ahead of Celtic in the Scottish Premiership having played a game more.
