Watch: Paul Scholes' Advice For Paul Pogba After Another Underwhelming Performance

Paul Scholes was pitch-side for BT Sport as Manchester United kicked off their Europa League campaign under Jose Mourinho with a very poor start.

A 1-0 loss and very few positives to take away from the game, while the result may not be too damaging in terms of progressing from the group, it cannot be a good feeling for that group of players to suffer two losses in five days just as everything appeared to be going well through the first few games of the season.

While Marcos Rojo took most of the fury from United fans, Paul Pogba is someone who has been criticised recently for some perhaps underwhelming performances since making the move back from Juventus.

Paul Scholes refrained from harsh criticism, and instead offered advice to Pogba, suggesting that he needs to take it easy and not try to do so much.

Interesting...

He said United a need a controller in midfielder, someone who will tell other people where they need to be? In a very, very indirect way, Paul Scholes has suggest that Man United need to buy Glenn Whelan.

Seriously though, when Paul Scholes offers you advice as a Manchester United midfielder, you should listen. Pogba needs help out there, that much is clear, but he himself is clearly trying to do too much, taking on players when perhaps he needs to slow things down.

Jamie Carragher was highly critical of his positioning at the weekend, so Scholes' shout for someone alongside him, like Michael Carrick, to organise things would likely be a big help.
