Manchester United got off to a flyer at home to Anderlecht in the Europa League on Thursday night as Henrikh Mkhitaryan continued his love affair with the competition by scoring his fifth goal in his last six games.
Before the game, Richard Dunne gave his view that Pogba should be doing more in the middle of the park as we all know the quality he possess, and we got a glimpse of that quality inside the first 10 minutes of the quarter-final second leg.
The assist came from Marcus Rashford, but the goal was all about the sublime pass from Paul Pogba that cut directly through the Anderlecht midfield and was weighted to absolute perfection.
Delicious. The vision, the execution, spot on.
Having missed a golden chance to put United 2-0 up in Belgium, Pogba would have wanted to make an impact in the return leg and he did just that by putting Marcus Rasford in to set up Mkhitaryan.
There's no questioning the talent that he has at his disposal, but Dunne's suggestion that he needs to be showing more, especially if he's in the team every week, is not unique to the former City man.
