What a night for Manchester United. Against all the odds, United have advanced to the Champions League quarter finals. It hardly could have come in more dramatic circumstances, with a late, late VAR penalty decision enough to give the English side that all important third goal.
It was a controversial call, but you can't argue that United didn't deserve to progress. PSG had a shocker, but their opponents took full advantage of it. There was more urgency to their play, more hunger. Simply put, they wanted it more.
What makes the result even more remarkable is the personnel missing from the United team. The likes of Anthony Martial and Jessie Lingard missed out due to injury, while Paul Pogba was suspended after being sent off in the first leg.
Despite the French midfielder not playing tonight, you always knew he was going to steal some of the limelight if United came out on top. That is exactly what happened when he gatecrashed a post match interview with match winners Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku. To be fair, they didn't seem to mind.
This is why we love football...

Pogba will be back in action for the quarter finals, and United will certainly not fear any other side after tonight's result.
Solskjaer has done a remarkable job in turning around their season, and a result such as this one would have seemed entirely impossible only a few short months ago. With Alex Ferguson watching on from the stands tonight, this was certainly reminiscent of the famous Manchester United European results we have seen in the past.
United fans feel like they have finally got their team back, and they will start to dream of what may be possible come the first weekend in June.
