Jeff Hendrick did something beautiful today.
Burnley's record signing, the £10m pound man showed his class with the most succulent of touches before spanking the ball into the top corner on the half-volley from 30 yards out.
It was a stunner, and it was watched lived by Paul Merson in the Soccer Saturday studio, and his reaction did the incredible moment of skill justice as he puffed his cheeks out and compared it to Jamie Vardy's incredible goal against Liverpool last season.
It really was that special.
Merson, however, needs to learn as quickly as possible that it's "Hendrick", and not "Hendrix", as Jeffrey is of no relation to the late, great, rockstar Jimi.
Meanwhile over on BT Sport's take on Soccer Saturday, there was a more subdued reaction and a fancy, if unnecessary graph:
We can't wait for the Match Of The Day love-in later on, we can only hope that they use that goal as an excuse to do a big feature with circles and arrows about how brilliant Jeff Hendrick is.
Irresistible stuff from the Kevin's Boys product, it got the Paul Merson reaction it deserved.
