The Patrick Vieira vs Roy Keane debate is one that continues to rage on long after both players have retired.
Unquestionably two of the best players to ever play in the Premier League, the fact that they both captained two of the Premier League's greatest sides, at the same time, and constantly were at each others' throats on the pitch, made this debate a heated one over the years.
Typically it boiled down to where your allegiance lied, and it was a great surprise when ITV managed to get both men to sit down and talk about their history a number of years back. All seemed to be well after that, and the respect they had for each other was going just fine... Until now.
In an interview with Copa 90, a fan question about playing against Roy Keane saw an unusually cocky response from the Frenchman, who claimed he was on another level to Keane and that the Irishman was always looking at the back of his shirt.
The thing is, there was Roy Keane, and there was myself.
He always would see the back of my shirt. On his mind was always the number four.
Beef.
It's clearly tongue-in cheek, but that's a bold move from Paddy V who is presumably banking on not hearing whatever Roy Keane's response is all the way over in New York, where he manages NYCFC.
