Whenever you see Dundalk's Patrick McEleney pop up on Livescore, you know you've probably missed something special.
The Derry man is known for his spectacular goals, so much so that earlier on in the season we decided that he had earned his own personal 'Goal Of The Season' competition, and he's only gone and done it again on the final day of the season.

Dundalk travelled to Galway on Friday night knowing that the hosts would be fighting for their lives in desperate need of a win to keep their top-flight status alive. It looked to be going very well for the hosts as they took the lead inside 10 minutes, but that lead would only last two minutes as Dundalk levelled and were ahead 2-1 as Jamie McGrath scored on 42 minutes.
Things would get worse for Galway as Patrick McEleney made it 3-1 in first-half stoppage time as he scored one of his trademark sublime chips on the counter-attack.
He has the technique for that chip down to an artform, yet another goal for the Patrick McEleney goal of the season competition.
The Galway defending left a lot to be desired, but you've just got to admire that from the Dundalk midfielder.
