Sunderland's Senegalese defender Papy Djilobodji has proven himself to be a bit of a nutter having arrived from Chelsea where he made one single appearance in the third round of the League Cup and will go down as one of the strangest signings the club has ever made.
Presumably Sunderland decided to give him a chance based on the fact that Chelsea gave money to another football club for his services, because Djilobodji has featured regularly for the Black Cats in a season where they have struggled badly to stop the opposition from scoring.
Djilobidji has had his performances publicly slated on platforms such as MNF and MOTD, but that won't be happening for a few weeks as he will have to serve a suspension following retrospective punishment for an incident unseen by the referee during Sunderland's trip to West Brom.

And through the magic of the internet, the clip has surfaced.
Here you can see Papy Djilobodji acting like a normal person for a brief moment before deciding to punch Darren Fletcher in the face.
Darren Fletcher, really? Of all people, why would you randomly deck one of the nicest guys in football?
Some Sunderland fans have taken a shine to Djliobodji in a 'yeah he's an absolute headcase, but he's our headcase' sort of way, but the reality is his performances have been shocking and it would be stunning if he is playing Premier League football come next season.
