"Well, that was shite" appears to be the general opinion of anyone who spent their Wednesday evening watching Manchester United vs PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League, as United failed to find a successful route to goal over 90 minutes of seriously uninspiring football, which finished 0-0.
Some of those who were unfortunate enough to see the spectacle unfold took to twitter in an attempt to relieve the boredom:
This is the most boring game I have ever watched seriously wtf is this #munpsv

Sideways pass, sideways pass, sideways pass, long ball. #MUNPSV

So when it came to highlights, it seemed as though there would be nothing to bring you tonight, that is until, Marouane Fellaini prepared to enter the action:
That was it. That was the highlight of the match. Marouane Fellaini struggling to remove his tracksuit bottoms because he had boots on.
Of course, all the now regular symptoms of a Manchester United European performance were there such as:
Complaining about the commentator:
Robbie Savage talking absolute rubbish on #BTSport this evening. The man's (lack of) knowledge is incredible. #MUNPSV

Comparing young players to past players:
Depay is so much like Nani it isn't even funny any more ?

And a lot of yawning:
This United match is sending me to sleep. The only thing keeping me awake is the thought of Peep Show at 10... #yawn #MUFC
