When you think of horror tackles a list comes into your mind.

Roy Keane on Alf Inge Haaland. Ryan Shawcross on Aaron Ramsey. Sol Campbell's sliding effort. We have a new contender for the top of that list today, however.

Linfield were looking to cut the gap at the top of the table to Crusaders to just one point. They couldn't get the job done in a 0-0 draw. It was a bad tempered game with ten yellows and Crusaders manager Stephen Baxter being sent to the stands.

Linfield were pressing and Andrew Waterworth cut inside from his wing and was bearing down on the box. That was until Paul Heatley happened.

Studs up? Yep. Lunged in? Yep. Two footed? Of course. Yet somehow Heatley stayed on the pitch despite almost dismembering Blues captain Waterworth as the game headed into the final five minutes.

Quite clearly he was extremely lucky to only get yellow. He was lucky not to be charged with manslaughter! Waterworth was able to play on after a few minutes of treatment. Neither side could get on top of the game though, and it finished scoreless in Windsor Park.
