What is it about Lyon and goals from the half-way line?
The next Ligue 1 star moving to the Premier League for big money could very well be Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir. With a second name that would have seen him ridiculed constantly had he grown up in Ireland, he has been tasked with replacing the goals of Alexandre Lacazette and has made a very good start by bagging 3 in 3 having managed 9 in total last season.
Memphis Depay won Ligue 1's goal of the season for his wondergoal from all of 50 yards shortly after his arrival from Man Utd, and a Lyon player may have already wrapped up the same award in the third game of this season as Fekir took a look up, spotted the Bordeaux goalkeeper off his line, and unleashed an absolute beauty.
What a goal. Drink in the alternative angles too.
The trajectory on that strike, just insane.
Fekir has been on the radar of most of Europe's big clubs for a few years due to his magnificent footwork and ability to pick a pass, but if he continues this streak of goalscoring form Lyon are again going to face a battle to keep one of their brightest stars.
