The late, great Páidí Ó Sé once warned a player must avoid being "fucked over the line like a loaf of bread." Tonight, Freddie Sears learned why. Fulham hammered Mick McCarthy's Ipswich 4-1 after Sears was clattered by Aboubakar Kamara. Sears result was no punishment for Kamara, a red-card for his team-mate and his side went on to concede four goals in seven minutes.
Jordan Spence was sent off for a quite similar tackle, although he did recruit the use of his knee and was nowhere near the ball. It's not hard to imagine how Mick McCarthy greeted Spence in the dressing room afterwards either.
I hope that for the sake of his health, Jordan Spence has found a very good hiding place in our dressing room....

What are the odds on Jordan Spence being murdered by Mick McCarthy this evening? Evens?

The result ensures Ipswich are now 12th and seven points off the play-off spots. With only ten points between 2nd and 10th, the promotion race is shaping up to be incredibly exciting.
