Former Bohemians full-back Matt Doherty has been central to Wolves drive for promotion, proving it once more tonight as he grabbed the opener during their clash with Reading.
Anssi Jaakkola will not want to see this back, as he comes running off his line before the ball is directed back across the box. Regardless a well-positioned Doherty headed home to give Wolves a crucial lead.

He followed it up in the second half to make it 3-0 and ensure a comfortable victory.

Doherty has played on the left and right this season and was recently called into Martin O'Neill's side for the upcoming friendly against Turkey. He has played for the Republic of Ireland as a U19 and U21. With Wolves three points clear at the top of the table, it may not be long before we see another Irishman take to the Premier League.
