Lee O'Connor is a young man that should be on the radar of all Irish football fans after turning heads at Old Trafford last year.
The Waterford man overcame homesickness to become a key part of Man Utd's U18 side earning rave reviews for his performances in defence, but after he scored an absolute wonder-goal back in August it was clear that he could play in several different positions.
Wearing the #7 shirt in midfield for Ireland on Tuesday afternoon, O'Connor scored a goal and provided an assist as the boys in green claimed a big win over Serbia to go to the top of their Euro U19 qualification group.
His goal was a header from a cross to equalise on the hour mark after Serbia went ahead in the first half.

The match was then won when O'Connor latched on to a set-piece once again to provide an assist for Neil Farrugia.

Serbia had won two games from two before travelling to Waterford, and the Ireland U19s have now leapfrogged them to go top of the group with seven points from three games.
Hopefully they can continue their impressive form, and hopefully Lee O'Connor can continue to progress for both club and country.
