There were chaotic scenes in the Ligue 1 match between OGC Nice and Marseille as a fan invasion during the second half saw play suspended.
Plastic cans were thrown onto the pitch repeatedly during the contest at the Allianz Riviera. Midway through the second half, midfielder Dimitri Payet appeared to be struck by an object and fell to the ground, before getting up and throwing a bottle back into the stand.
It all descended to bedlam from there as fans jumped the advertising hoardings and rushed past desperate stewards to invade the field.
Marseille boss Jorge Sampaoli was visibly outraged while club officials and stadium security desperately tried to regain control.
