With Alisson now between the sticks for Liverpool, it could be easy to take for granted just how good the Brazilian goalkeeper is. After all, they say the sign of a good goalkeeper is that he makes everything look easy.
That certainly applies to the Liverpool man. He is assured in everything he does on the pitch, making little fuss in carrying out his duties.
You don't have to look too far back into the past to find a time when this wasn't the case at Anfield. While Simon Mignolet was questionable at times, nothing struck fear into the heart of Liverpool fans quite like the sight of Loris Karius in goals.
He could be ok at times but there was always the feeling that a horrific mistake was just around the corner.
The Champions League final in 2018 is the most well-known example, but it was not the only one. That game in Kiev was the final straw, however, with the German soon shipped off to Besiktas on loan.
His fortunes haven't really improved.
He started their clash against Altınordu earlier today, with the game finishing in a 2-2 draw. Largely thanks to Karius.
He scored an absolutely horrific own goal in the opening period, somehow managing to turn a very tame cross into his own net. Take a look at this:

That could be worst mistake yet.
Karius' loan in Turkey ends at the end of this season, but it's safe to say Liverpool supporters aren't craving for his return to Anfield.
