Watch: Kevin Kilbane's Views On Robert Lewandowski's Theatrics Were Absolutely Spot On

Kevin Kilbane has proven to be a very enjoyable pundit for some time now since making the transition that so many of his former Ireland teammates have made into the TV side of things after retirement, but what he said at half-time in Tuesday night's Champions League will have struck a chord with Irish fans in particular.

Robert Lewandowski was acting the total eejit once again as he tried to get Juanfran sent off, and the former Sunderland and Everton winger was having absolutely none of it. Kilbane also opposed the idea that Lewandowski was "not that type of player", as we heard in the match commentary, citing the big Pole's embarrassing display against Ireland last year as an example.

And he was bang on the money. After falling like a sack of spuds from brushing shoulders with Juanfran, Kilbane called him out on his bullshit.

Anyone who witnessed Lewandowski out in Poland for the Ireland game out there, we saw it for 90 minutes from him.

This is the norm for Lewandowski, he loves diving around, he loves trying to play-act, trying to con the referee, it's the norm for him, it's what I feel he would do on a regular basis.

That's outrageous. But that's what you get from Lewandowski, that's what he's all about.

Great stuff from Kilbane, exactly what we want to see. A number of Irish fans who were watching fully agreed with Kilbane's views:

Undoubtedly a magnificent footballer, and a predator in front of goal, but it's hard to respect him when he pulls shite like that.
