Standing incredibly close to the opposite post, it is hard to imagine how Etheridge would have gotten across the goal in time even if he did read de Bruyne's intention.
Yet, with incredible aplomb, one of Man City's most decisive players this season produced an absolute moment of magic.
More impressive still is the relative slowness with which the ball crossed the line. Raheem Sterling would add a second later in the half, and, in truth, Cardiff never really looked like causing an upset.
