Scenes you could only dream of as a child transpired in the Danish league over the weekend.
FC Midtjylland - famous for their victory over Manchester United in last season's Europa League, and conversely for birthing future star Marcus Rashford - played host to SoenderjyskE in the Superliga amidst a storm, and Johan Dahlin experienced every goalkeeper's worst nightmare while playing for the away side.
The goalkeeper hoofed the ball clear from a goal kick, only to see it return boomerang-like with an extraordinary gust of wind. With a Midtjylland striker set to pounce on the ball as it bounced back towards Dahlin's goal, he was forced to catch his own goal kick.
The referee was left with no option but to award an indirect free-kick as no player made contact with the ball before Dahlin collected it.
You can watch the incident below:
SoenderjyskE's players were left aggrieved - but they did go on to win the game 1-0.
