Former Sky Sports presenter and multilinguist Kate Abdo has been wowing audiences at her new gig with Fox Soccer having recently left the UK for the States.
The news that she would be departing from Sky Sports' regular programming was met with sadness by many viewers, as having signed from Sky Germany back in 2014, Abdo was one of the best presenters on the network as she covered European matches as well as regular spots on Sky Sports News.
Her ability to perfectly pronounce exotic footballer names, something the majority of Sky employees struggle greatly with, was just one of the many reasons why she was so well liked, and that was a feature of her impressive mastery of several languages.
This talent was flaunted in the Fox Soccer studio as Abdo wowed her colleagues with her ability to translate song lyrics on the fly:
Do these song lyrics get 'Lost In Translation' when @kate_abdo says them in different languages? pic.twitter.com/X9wPWTrGuV

That's incredible.
While she was well respected for her reporting and presenting, she will also be remembered for one high-profile slip-up that Ireland rugby player Jordi Murphy was quick to share with Twitter.
Her mind seems to be on bigger things.. ???? pic.twitter.com/8ZQl6Jmmsw

Best of luck to Abdo on Fox Soccer, Sky's troubles with Polish, German, and Spanish players' names will now surely plunge to new depths.
