Despite both teams slogging through 120 minutes of football on the tiring Wembley turf on Sunday of last weekend, it was only Man City who looked sluggish as the two sides met on Wednesday night, with Jurgen Klopp's men running out comfortable 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Adam Lallana, James Milner, and Roberto Firmino.

The result may have been considered a surprise, not least because City won at the weekend, but upon first sight the starting lineups did not exactly inspire confidence in Liverpool, and in fact Rio Ferdinand went as far as to suggest that the entire XI needed to be replaced if Klopp wanted to compete next season in his pre-match analysis.
The result being as convincing as it was meant we were going to get a good Klopp interview, and sure enough, we did, and we did not have to wait long for a highlight:
BOOM!
Never change, Jurgen.
