Liverpool appeared to be gaining momentum under Jurgen Klopp after securing a win away in Russia in the Europa League just days after impressing in a 3-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but their recent bogey-team Crystal Palace put a halt to that on Sunday evening.
Palace took the lead through Yannick Bolasie before Philippe Coutinho leveled the scores just before half time, but Liverpool couldn't capitalise on their chances and were eventually punished by Scott Dann who scored at the second attempt following a terrible punch from Simon Mignolet, resulting in a 2-1 win for Alan Pardew's men.
After the game, Klopp told the press that he noticed a lot of Liverpool fans leaving the stadium after that second Palace goal, and that it left him feeling "alone":
Klopp has mentioned before that he feels no belief in the Anfield crowd when the home team go behind, and he is clearly trying to change the mentality of the home supporters, who undoubtedly were deflated by the last 18 months or so under Brendan Rodgers.
After the internaitonal break Liverpool travel to Man City before hosting Swansea, and Klopp will be hoping his message hits home for those fans who left early and they stay to support their club to the end in future.
