UFC Counterpunch is the new medium for building hype ahead of the biggest fights that the organisation has to offer, and the UFC 200 edition did not disappoint as both Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier expressed their disdain for each other ahead of next weekend's main event.
Joe Rogan played the role of mediator as Jones and Cormier went back and forth, detailing why they were going to win and how little they thought of one another, but the best example of how tense the whole encounter was, came from Jones.
As Cormier explained why his life doesn't revolve around Jones, the younger man delivered an ice cold reply that caught his opponent somewhat by surprise.
That was very well played.
This is very much a genuine rivalry. Both men hate each other and make no secret about it, but the question is whether or not Cormier can bounce back from Jones delivering the only defeat of his career and find a gameplan to come out on top this time around.
UFC 200 is set to be an incredible night of fighting and with Jones Vs Cormier II as the main event we are counting down the minutes until it all kicks off.
