Look, we all know that John Egan is a brilliant footballer. We really can't speak highly enough of him, with his defensive display against Spurs on Thursday evening one of the standout showings of recent weeks.
He is a cracking defender, but it turns out he can also get it done at the other end of the pitch.
Sheffield United undeservedly found themselves behind in their Premier League fixture against Burnley this afternoon, squandering a number of chances before James Tarkowski scored near the end of the first half.
Chris Wilder's side continued to apply the pressure in the second period, finally making the breakthrough ten minutes from full time.
John Egan had been guilty of missing a couple of chances himself early in the game, but he more than made up for it here.
Ben Osborn's ball into the penalty are was flicked on by Billy Sharp, with the Irishman meeting the dropping ball with a stunning volley with the outside of his boot. Look at this for a finish:
GOAL FOR SHEFFIELD UNITED ⚔️
John Egan with the equaliser! That's a striker's finish from the Irish centre-back.

It gets better every time you watch it. Egan would be named man-of-the-match after rescuing a point for his side.
We probably shouldn't have been surprised. He has been known to score a corker or two, including this effort for Gillingham a few years back.
You can't give @JohnEgan92 that amount of space on his left foot! 💪#Gills pic.twitter.com/4nNM2vFSHL
