Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened to Irish international Joey O'Brien when he ventured forward and took a pop near the end of West Ham's 0-0 draw with Liverpool in the FA Cup 4th round.

O'Brien has not had much first-team action this season, and he hardly helped his cause with that effort.
Thankfully West Ham's other Irishman Darren Randolph had a better evening, as he was named man of the match for his performance in goal.
