After pegging back England's early lead just 34 seconds after the restart, Iceland took a trip to dreamland in the 19th minute as they went 2-1 thanks to a goal from Kolbeinn Sigþórsson.
Well, to be fair, there was a big helping hand from Joe Hart.
The Man City shot-stopper took a lot of criticism for his feeble attempt at stopping Gareth Bale's free-kick in the group stages, but it pales in comparison to this exhibition of wrist limpness.
Shocking stuff.
Another 'rare' mistake from Joe Hart. That was the weakest of weak hands. pic.twitter.com/q0ozcWuAPM

If Iceland can hold out, you wouldn't wish the backlash he will receive on your worst enemy. With a reputation for picking a scapegoat, the English media would eat him alive. It remains to be seen whether or not his teammates can bail him out.
