It would have been the ultimate feat in pantomime villainy had Jeff Hendrick managed to score in the opening minutes against Denmark in Ireland's Nations League tie at the Aviva.
In the fifth minute the Burnley man took the ball off the toe of a Denmark defender when the Danes had clearly signalled for play to stop following Harry Arter going down feeling his leg.
But an unperturbed 'El Jefe', drove forward with the ball beyond the Danish defence, before comically fluffing his lines, shooting wide when well placed.
We'd like to give Hendrick the benefit of the doubt, but with Thomas Delaney clearly pointing to the injured Arter, you'd wonder how the Burnley man didn't cop the Danes were trying to get play stopped.
A new one for Jeff Hendrick, who's managed to embarrass himself twice in the one move
