Jamie Carragher was involved in a nasty incident as he departed from Old Trafford yesterday after Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.
Driving from the ground, Carragher was enticed into opening his car window by a United fan and his family.
Continuing to remind the Liverpool legend of the game's scoreline, Carragher, in an action he has since apologised for, spitted from the window of his car onto the offending car in question.
Filming the entire conflict, the video was subsequently released to the Mirror. The driver in question, who was accompanied by his 14-year-old daughter, can be heard uttering to himself - perhaps with some idea of what he was in possession of - "Jamie Carragher spat on my daughter ... nice."
The offending footage can be seen below.
Really disappointed in Jamie Carragher. Seems like a decent bloke, enjoy his punditry as well, but there is absolutely no excuse for spitting at a 14 year old girl. Glad to hear he apologised. #mufc [Mirror] pic.twitter.com/BtPsRWf498
