With five months to go until the opening game of Euro 2016, Martin O'Neill must be encouraged to see some of the players likely to be part of his squad for the tournament hitting the back of the net.
On Wednesday three Irish players - Shane Long, Jonathan Walters and James McClean - all scored for their clubs, while on Tuesday, Harry Arter also got himself on the scoresheet.
Jonathan Walters, who was starting his first game in the Premier League for Stoke since November 28th, opened the scoring for his side in a 3-1 win against Norwich.
Shane Long grabbed his seventh of the season in all competitions, scoring the opening goal in Southampton's 2-0 win against Watford.
James McClean ensured that Chelsea's erratice for continued as he scored an esqualiser for West Brom four minutes from time at Stamford Bridge.
On Tuesday, Harry Arter got his first of the season as Bournemouth lost 3-1 at home to West Ham.
