What a strike.
21-year-old Liam Kelly has been in great form for Reading this year. The central midfielder has played for the Republic of Ireland at U19 and U21 level and this season has been a consistent choice in Jaap Stam's side.
Reading have endured an unfortunate year and are currently just four points above relegation. They had to settle for a point today at home to Derby, the pick of the balls being a rocket from Kelly with a first time shot from 30 yards.
Liam Kelly for Reading is one hell of a player!!! 🔥

That is an absolutely outrageous strike from Liam Kelly. One of the best goals the Madejski has ever seen. #readingfc

Reading do not have an encouraging set of fixtures ahead of them, with Sheffield United and then Wolves next up. However, with young exciting attacking players like Kelly and Pelle Clement they should be on course to avoid a relegation dogfight.
With goals like this in his locker, it shouldn't be too long until we see Kelly tog out for Martin O'Neill's side, particularly given the opportunities to test players like Kelly this year.
