Last night, at roughly 19 minutes to 10pm, the entire country jumped up in unison when Robbie Brady met Wes Hoolahan's peach of a cross to put the ball in the Italian net.
The goal was one of those 'where we you when' moments in Irish sport, similar to when Ray Houghton lobbed Gianluca Pagliuca at USA 94 or Robbie Keane's last gasp equaliser against Germany in Ibaraki 14 years ago.
Most of us will never know precisely how we reacted to Brady's goal as all memory of what we did was lost in the excitement of the situation but, luckily for those who attended the match at Flannery's Bar on Upper Denmark Street in Limerick, their reactions have been immortalised forever.
Flannery's were kind enough to send us their CCTV footage of the insane reaction to the goal - and we're particularly impressed by that one punter who saw the goal coming before everyone else.
This was a scene repeated in practically every pub up and down the land, much like Muldowney's in Rathcoole which was sent to the official Balls.ie Euro 2016 Facebook Group courtesy of Richie Finnegan.
All we hope for now is a repeat of these scenes on Sunday. That's not too much to ask, is it?
