Brazilian midfielder Felipe Melo is known as a bit of a headbanger when it comes to how he conducts himself in midfield, but tonight he nearly took an opponent's head clean off with a bizarre kung-fu style clearance.
Argentinian midfielder Lucas Biglia was the victim on this occasion, as Melo contested for the ball with what is known as an axe-kick in the MMA community, and the Lazio midfielder got a face full of studs for his troubles.

Madness.
Thankfully the former Galatasaray man was sent off for his stupidity.
Regardless of his intentions, that was an utterly reckless act, and it cost his team in the end as Lazio ran out 2-1 winners at the San Siro, dealing Inter a big blow in the title race as they now sit just one point clear of Fiorentina who beat Chievo on Sunday.
