Arsene Wenger did not cover himself in glory with his post-match comments after Arsenal fell 3-2 to the hands of a very inexperienced Manchester United side at Old Trafford on Sunday, and his borderline delusional comments brought about heavy criticism from Arsenal fans in particular.
Ian Wright is an Arsenal fan, and a club legend, so he too was pissed off with Wenger who after claiming that Manchester United had 'an experienced midfield' and had 'spent a lot of money', then went on MOTD and said that he could not fault the Arsenal players' commitment and determination.
Wright thought this was unacceptable, and compared Wenger's comments to allowing a bold child to misbehave, thinking they will learn. And it was quite good.
Could he not just have accepted that they had a stinker?
Arsenal are by no means out of the title race but when they fail to perform as they did on Sunday, it can't be accepted if they want to win the league this season.
