Fresh from scoring the winner against Spurs, Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez has paid an emotional tribute to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the Leicester City owner who died following a helicopter accident on Saturday evening outside the club's stadium.
Mahrez's strike proved the difference as City proved victorious at Wembley Stadium. However, the 27-years-old thoughts were with Srivaddhanaprabha, the owner he worked under before his summer move to Manchester.
Mahrez pointed skywards after scoring his goal.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Mahrez said "he was like a Dad for us. Such a special person and a very big heart."
It is not easy to have this type of stuff. The boss was very special to me. I spent four and a half years there. I've many memories with him, he was such a good person, such a good human.
"It has been very difficult for me"
