Holy shit, Gylfi Sigurdsson's Everton career has started with a bang.
While some were surprised at just how much Everton paid Swansea City for the man who was their heart and soul last season, nobody was under any doubt that it was a good signing to strengthen Ronald Koeman's squad.
During his time in the Premier League, Sigurdsson has proven himself to be a specialist in the spectacular, but it seems as though he was saving his best for the Toffees as he is off the mark at his new club in style.
With Everton trailing 1-0 to Hadjuk Split, they needed a goal to make things comfortable, but they would not have imagined it come as it did. Just seconds after the second half kicked off, Sigurdsson unleashed a sliding volley from the sideline at midfield which utterly bamboozled the goalkeeper and surely wrapped up Everton's goal of the season in the process.

Wow. The replays really do it justice.
A ridiculous thing to try, even more ridiculous to pull off. At £45m, that's the type of impact you want the new signing to make.
Take a bow, Gylfi. Take a bow.
