Graham Burke was a name on many Irish fans' lips when he finished as top scorer in the 2012-13 edition of the Next-Gen Series, the forerunner of the u19 Champions League.

The then Villa striker bagged seven goals in the tournament, including two in the final and those of us who like to look out for the next big thing in Irish football began to get very excited. That Villa team included fellow Irish youngsters Mikey Drennan and Samir Carruthers and things were looking good.

Unfortunately, none of those players have so far made the grade in the Premier League but that's not to say they still may not. Drennan has returned home to Shamrock Rovers, Carruthers is now with MK Dons and Burke is with Notts County.

All three are still in the early stages of their careers and if Burke keeps up the kind of skill he showed against Luton Town on Saturday, we could yet see him work his way up to the Premier League.

That's just gorgeous.
